Amy Ireland Bourgault,
New Hampshire Community Technical College
In 2005, Amy Ireland Bourgault was appointed Executive Director of the New Hampshire Community Technical Colleges Foundation. The Foundation is a 501-C-3 corporation that is overseen by a Board of Directors. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide scholarship assistance, faculty and staff enrichment programs, educational facilities, and support for innovative programs among the seven colleges in the System.
As director, Amy is responsible for day-to-day operations including maintaining 140 different scholarship funds. She works with the investment managers on a portfolio that has grown from $1.3 million in 2005 to $4.4 million in 2007. The Foundation implements strategic objectives to maximize statewide support of the colleges and develop long-term relationships with corporate and community partners.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Amy served as Chief of Staff to the New Hampshire State Senate for six years and in the NH House Speaker’s Office eight years. She also ran Granite State Research, a political consulting and public relations firm, representing issues and engaging coalitions throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont
